In view of the fact, that this was the last visit to ashram. I have already prepared the test paper for my students to judge their overall learning skills. I have been teaching to two students, Bhushan and Sandeep. This time, one of my students was not present for the test. So I took test of only Sandeep. He was very happy to have the test on profit and loss lesson.
Since this lesson was taught to him before few weeks, he was requiring the revision of formulas but not explanation of the concepts. I liked that he just wanted to know the formula of profit and loss. Therefore, I made him write the formula and then he started answering the test.
The new thing that I observed in him is that he started reading the question before answering them. Firstly he was reading the question and then he was trying to understand to answer them. This was the skill that I have been trying to make him gain since the beginning of the learning session.
Also, he has adopted the skill of applying the formula to answer the mathematical question. He was able to use the formula of profit and loss to answer the question. For example, there is a question in which selling price and cost price was given. Also, selling price was greater than cost price. He understood that he is supposed to apply profit formula. He applied the formula correctly and substituted the data in the formula properly.
I feel that I have been successful in teaching the student. The student has adopted the skills of interpretation and understanding the lesson or concept. The learning outcome involved in this whole learning- teaching session is that I have become aware of my strength that I have capabilities of teaching the student with proper knowledge. I have also learned the skill of working collaboratively as I took many classes with my classmates, Dasom, Hyunju and Aditi.
The ethical implication involved in this activity is that this activity has helped in passing up the knowledge to the kids or students, who will further help the nation in development. Also, this activity is been undertaken with permission of ashram’s incharge and our CAS coordinator.
In end, I just want to say that this activity has been beneficial for everyone as it has helped me and my classmates in enhancing the skill of explaining, interpretation, management of time etc.

Dear Trisha,
I was happy to note that you carried a test paper for the final day of your teaching at the Ashram.
I like the way you prepared your students for the test and then discussed their doubts.
With best wishes
