I circulated among them and talked to almost every patient in Marathi although my command over the language was poor. Still I felt that by I was talking in Marathi, I could bond with them much more as they started seeing me as their friend or well-wisher. I liked the way they responded to me .I helped one woman in having cough syrup and water. Basically I started looking after the baby and let the woman sleep very well.
I also learned lot many things like how woman feel after pregnancy and how their relatives respond, what is their mental status after delivering the baby. I learned how people who do not belong to very rich family cope up during such occasions and how to behave with them in order to make them feel good.

Hey! This is a real task that you have taken up. Learning about how women in labor behave, how/what are their expectations, how they cope with their difficulties are real life situations which you have got acquainted too.
If you could also add in a few things like, how you prepared for the service work? who guided you? How did you work as a team? What are the immediate ans long term consequences of this service?..it would be so much better a reflection. Think on it.
Good job, by the way.
